Highly concentrated (80%), liquid, unhopped extract of Maris Otter barley malt for extract brewing and mini-mash method. Ideal as a base for IPAs and all British beer styles. 

Colour: ≤ 11 EBC (in a 10% weight/volume solution)

Top tip: May also be used as a substitute for malt (use 75% of the stated quantity) or sugar (replace 50-100% of the sugar with 125% malt extract). 

What is malt extract? Muntons canned malt extracts have been specially developed for the home brewing market. Filtered wort is thickened into a concentrated syrup using vacuum evaporation. The extract obtained by this method is a valuable source of fermentable sugars and, alongside natural colouring, gives the beer its traditional, rich malt flavour.
