Kent Golding is the most classical British aroma hop variety, with an ancestry several centuries old. This variety may be called Golding, Kent Golding or East Kent Golding depending on where in England it was cultivated. Sometimes there is a finishing 's' added to the name ("Goldings"). It is outstanding for hopping British ales, especially as an aroma hop.
