With it's low alpha acids and Co-humulon, Hersbrucker is a pleasant and balanced hop with a flowery, fruity and slightly spicy character. Traditionally used in German Lagers, it has recently grown popular in English Cask Ales as well.
Commonly used in German ale, lager and wheat, English cask ale.
Hersbrucker is originally from the Hersbruck-district in Germany but is now primarilly grown in Hallertau.

Typical values: Alpha acids (correct alpha value is printed on the label): 3 - 5 %
Cohumulone: 17 - 25 %
Total oils: 0,5 - 1,3 ml / 100 g
Storage stability (alpha acids): Good, 55%-65% alpha acids remaining after 6 months at 20 °C
Possible replacements: Mount Hood, Tradition, Mittelfruh
