An American hop, grown in the colder parts of Yakima Valley. It has a unique character of fruits and berries.
Commonly used in modern ales, hoppy wheat beers and saisons.
El Dorado was developed in 2008 by CLS Farns in Moxee Valley and was released to the public in 2010.
Character: Tropical fruit, pear, watermelon, and stone fruits and hints of candy and strawberries.
Origin: USA
Typical values: Alpha acids (correct alpha value is printed on the label): 14 - 16 %
Cohumulone: 28 - 33 %
Total oils: 2,5 - 3,3 ml / 100 g
Storage stability (alpha acids): Good, 60%-75% alpha acids remaining after 6 months at 20 °C
Possible replacements: Galena, Simcoe
