The Grainfather Conical Fermenter is a 30 liter cylindroconical stainless vessel. It enables you to perform temperature-controlled fermentation and lagering in stainless steel - just like the pros, but at a homebrewing scale.

The fermenter is double-walled, which allows for temperature control. Between the outer and inner stainless steel walls there is a layer of polyurethane foam for thermal insulation.

On the outside of the inner wall there is a 30 W integrated heating element. This allows for gentle heating of the wort if the temperature needs to be raised.

The Grainfather Conical Fermenter is also equipped for active cooling. There is a cooling sleeve welded onto the outside of the inner wall. This can be attached to an optional glycol chiller, which serves up to four fermenters, each with their individual temperature setting.

It has a smooth stainless interior which is easily accessed by removing the lid, so it is a breeze to clean and sanitize between batches. This is crucial as fermentation is the most important and vulnerable phase in brewing.

With the Dual Valve Tap it is very easy to take samples from above the yeast sediment, as well as harvesting or simply removing yeast from the bottom of the cone.
